A lot has changed here over the years, but much has stayed the same – and that’s exactly what makes us who we are.
We’re a house where the host family takes care of you personally. What matters here is the essential: simplicity, directness and warmth rather than big words. Time in the mountains is something special for us – the nature here lets you switch off like almost nothing else can.
That’s exactly what we want to share with you, to make your stay with us that little bit more unforgettable.
Our house started out as a farm, with everything that entails: plenty of hard work, but also a real home. In the 1960s it became a youth hostel, later a simple guesthouse, then a small hotel – and since 2018 we’ve also been open for dinner in the evenings. Every era has left its mark, even as much has changed around it.
Anna has built up the business into what it is today over many years, and still seems to be everywhere at once. Today her sons Florian and Matthias bring their own ideas, without the house losing its character.
We’re attached to what makes us who we are. That’s why so much here is still just as it always was: the warmth, the homely feel, the charm of decades past. One example? The lampshades in the bar are a one-of-a-kind piece from earlier times. Unique pieces like that are hard to find anywhere these days. While a newly built house elsewhere often looks like any other, we’ve held on to our own character. And we’re proud of that.
