Summer road closure

Here’s how to reach us

From 1 July to 13 September, access to Val di Braies is restricted daily from 9 am to 4 pm (as of summer 2026). What involves registration and additional costs  for most visitors happens completely automatically for you, as our guests:
We take care of the transit permit for your car – you just need to enter your number plate in the form we send you by email. Entry is free for you. If you’re arriving without a car, your Südtirol Guest Pass lets you use bus lines 439 and 442 without buying a ticket at all.
Every trip needs to be booked in advance. We’re happy to take care of that for you. If you’d like, as an outside guest, to combine your visit to Lake Braies with lunch at our restaurant without staying overnight at the hotel, please contact us directly beforehand. For entry between 9 am and 4 pm a ticket is required.
